* this run was without:
PREFERRED_ARM_INSTRUCTION_SET ?= "thumb"
ARM_INSTRUCTION_SET = "${PREFERRED_ARM_INSTRUCTION_SET}"
so thumb was disabled even in the DEFAULTTUNEs which support it
