Fixed when rebuild: make: *** No rule to make target `/path/to/old//sysroots/qemux86-64/usr/lib/dbus-1.0/include/dbus/dbus-arch-deps.h', needed by `dbus/dbus_old.o'. Stop. The .d files save the path of the dependencies files which may not exist when rebuild, we can remove them to make the rebuild work. 2014-01-02Replace one-line DESCRIPTION with SUMMARYPaul Eggleton
A lot of our recipes had short one-line DESCRIPTION values and no SUMMARY value set. In this case it's much better to just set SUMMARY since DESCRIPTION is defaulted from SUMMARY anyway and then the SUMMARY is at least useful. I also took the opportunity to fix up a lot of the new SUMMARY values, making them concisely explain the function of the recipe / package where possible. In a pure-systemd image there isn't a DBus init script to reload, so cut out the middleman and just sent SIGHUP to all running dbus-daemon processes instead. The recipe exports $BINDIR as ${sbindir} and the build system uses this when writing the DBus service file, so sedding it and replacing $base_sbindir with $sbindir (/sbin and /usr/sbin) isn't useful when it ends up as /usr/usr/sbin/wpa_supplicant. Install phase currently edits files in $S with sed. This causes breakage if install is run a second time (due to sstate hash rebuild for example) The result is hidden build breakage, in particular /usr/share/dbus-1/system-services/fi.w1.wpa_supplicant1.service now contains: Exec=/usr/usr/sbin/wpa_supplicant -u rather than: Exec=/usr/sbin/wpa_supplicant -u This patch does the sed edit after the files are copied to $D, which should be safe. 2010-08-27Major layout change to the packages directoryRichard Purdie
Having one monolithic packages directory makes it hard to find things and is generally overwhelming. This commit splits it into several logical sections roughly based on function, recipes.txt gives more information about the classifications used. The opportunity is also used to switch from "packages" to "recipes" as used in OpenEmbedded as the term "packages" can be confusing to people and has many different meanings. Not all recipes have been classified yet, this is just a first pass at separating things out. Some packages are moved to meta-extras as they're no longer actively used or maintained.
