* meta: Fix Deprecated warnings from regexsRichard Purdie2019-01-141-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Fix handling of escape characters in regexs and hence fix python Deprecation warnings which will be problematic in python 3.8. Note that some show up as: """ meta/classes/package.bbclass:1293: DeprecationWarning: invalid escape sequence \.   """ where the problem isn't on 1293 in package.bbclass but in some _prepend to a package.bbclass function in a different file like mesa.inc, often from do_package_split() calls. * ncurses: change SRC_URI from Debian anonscm to salsaMikko Rapeli2018-03-281-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | Debian anonscm service in Alioth is shutdown and thus fetching ncurses sources fails. https://wiki.debian.org/Alioth "Alioth is broken, and there is nobody around to fix it. * ncurses: reorder PACKAGESPatrick Ohly2016-04-051-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | Having ncurses-terminfo-base before ncurses-terminfo is currently irrelevant because the current file lists are completely disjunct. However, when building "stateless" via a .bbappend, the content of curses-terminfo-base also needs to live under /usr/share and then it becomes important that files belonging to ncurses-terminfo-base are checked first. * ncurses_6: Improve installationJuro Bystricky2016-03-203-36/+8
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | As "install.libs" also installs header files, it is redundant to also call "install.includes". In fact, doing so can lead to a race, as both targets could try to install the header files at the same time if running parallel make. Obviously, with only calling "install.libs", there is no race with "install.includes". If there is no race, then the patch fix-include-files-race.patch is no longer needed. * ncurses_6: Fix an install race conditionJuro Bystricky2016-03-122-0/+33
| | | | | | | | | | | | Both targets install.libs and install.includes install the same files, resulting in a race condition when running parallel make. This race is addressed in a patch file, making sure only one of the targets (install.includes) installes the include files. This will work properly (i.e.ncurses will install as intended by the recipe) as long as we always install both targets. * ncurses: use closing curly brackets in FILES_${PN}-tools variableMarkus Lehtonen2016-02-041-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | This patch removes a workaround (needed for bitbake python parser) where closing curly brackets were replaced by ascii code '\x7d'. * ncurses-terminfo-base: include screen-256colorRichard Tollerton2015-07-221-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | Nominally tmux sets TERM=screen which we are including in ncurses-terminfo-base. However, if tmux detects that it's running in a terminal capable of 256-color output (e.g. xterm-256color), it will instead use TERM=screen-256color. We aren't including that, and we ought to be. * ncurses: enable-pc-files requires PKG_CONFIG_LIBDIR existedRobert Yang2014-10-101-0/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Fixed ncurses.do_configure: configure: WARNING: did not find library /path/to/tmp/sysroots/qemuarm/usr/lib/pkgconfig And then anyone requires ncurses.pc will fail. The configure.in checks: [snip] if test -n "$PKG_CONFIG_LIBDIR" && test -d "$PKG_CONFIG_LIBDIR" ; then [snip] Create PKG_CONFIG_LIBDIR in do_configure will fix the problem. We can reproduce the problem by: Set SSTATE_DIR=/path/to/sstate-cache 1) In build1, make sure everything is ready in SSTATE_DIR $ bitbake ncurses 2) In build2, rebuild ncurses only: $ bitbake ncurses -ccleansstate && bitbake ncurses Then we will see the warning in log.do_configure. * binconfig-disabled: Add class and useRichard Purdie2014-06-161-1/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This adds a binconfig-disabled class which can be used by recipes where a -config file is installed but we wish to disable it and just rely on the .pc files instead. Rather than simply deleting it, we make the script "exit 1" so that it can be found in PATH and raise a build error rather than something silently falling back to the build system for example. Rather than randomly finding -config files, this adds in the specification of a list of binconfig scripts which is more deterministic and maintainable moving forward. This patch converts various users in OE-Core to use this, a world build of OE-Core tests out ok with this change. There will likely be issues in other layers however, hence this being a RFT. * Revert "ncurses: use ln -r to generate relative symlink"Richard Purdie2014-03-031-2/+8
| | | | | | | ln -r isn't available in older versions of coreutils such as those present in Ubuntu 12.04. We'll find an alternative solution. This reverts commit 65c2439ab6dcbd4c52439cdc96acb8ba222c196b.

* Help ncurses-native find terminfo on RHEL 6Jeffrey C Honig2013-03-021-3/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | [ CQID: WIND00405305 ] When using ncurses from sstate cache it is not able to find terminfo for screen on RHEL 6. While RHEL 6 has /lib/terminfo, it is not complete, the complete terminfo database is in /usr/share/terminfo. This results failure of programs linked to ncurses, such as menuconfig. * ncurses.inc: Fix display corruption and add fallback for sstate compiled pathsJason Wessel2013-02-111-3/+29
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | CQID: WIND00402979 Display corruption was occurring on 64 bit hosts using menuconfig for the kernel and busybox with the ncurses-native or ncurses-nativesdk because the configure arguments were not sufficient vs the expected use from the upstream source. Also changed in this commit is to provide a fallback to the hard compiled paths for the terminfo and termcap. Eventually this needs to be fixed another way if we want a truly portable SDK because any SDK that is relocated or native binaries pulled out of the sstate can end up referencing terminfo files that no longer are in the same location. Because the host system has terminfo files that ncurses will happily use we might as well have a fall back to buy some time for a better fix, vs having thing just not work occasionally when using sstate.
