2018-01-18wget: improve reproducibilityHongxu Jia
Remove build host references from the internally generated file version.c. The references get compiled into executables, which leads to non-reproducible builds. The removed references (--sysroot, -fdebug-prefix-map) were only used as part of the `wget --version' which do not have side effect. 2014-07-21buildtools-tarball: Add wget to buildtools-tarballTudor Florea
GNU Wget cannot be upgrated to a newer that 1.12 version on supported Centos distro. GNU Wget 1.12 and earlier uses a server-provided filename instead of the original URL to determine the destination filename of a download. This means the files downloaded when fetching cannot be properly used: $ wget http://www.balabit.com/downloads/files/syslog-ng/open-source-edition/3.4.2/source/eventlog_0.2.13.tar.gz $ ls eventlog_0.2.13.tar.gz?AWSAccessKeyId=AKIAICTJ5MANGPMOH7JA&Expires=1400838672&Signature=TjakOBpOvHtEKKDgF14iVinWpY0= This in turn lead to build errors like: WARNING: Failed to fetch URL http://www.balabit.com/downloads/files/syslog-ng/open-source-edition/3.4.2/source/eventlog_0.2.13.tar.gz, attempting MIRRORS if available ERROR: Fetcher failure for URL: 'http://www.balabit.com/downloads/files/syslog-ng/open-source-edition/3.4.2/source/eventlog_0.2.13.tar.gz'. ERROR: Function failed: Fetcher failure for URL: 'http://www.balabit.com/downloads/files/syslog-ng/open-source-edition/3.4.2/source/eventlog_0.2.13.tar.gz'. Unable to fetch URL from any source. 2014-06-17wget: use GnuTLS instead of OpenSSLRoss Burton
OpenSSL has license complications and GnuTLS is preferred, so although the license complications don't impact wget use GnuTLS for consistency. Also add a recommendation on ca-certificates so that https: URLs work. Signed-off-by: Ross Burton <ross.burton@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
2014-05-01Add texinfo.bbclass; recipes that use texinfo utils at build-time inherit it.Max Eliaser
The class itself currently does nothing. The idea is to mark all recipes that make use of the texinfo utilities. In the future, this class could be used to suppress the generation/formatting of documentation for performance, explicitly track dependencies on these utilities, and eliminate Yocto's current dependency on the host system's texinfo utilities. 2014-02-20recipes: convert remaining SUMMARY/DESCRIPTION cosmetic issues (part 2)Matthieu Crapet
Completes previous commit b5292d4115a4555a66b5e35acdc67dd71fb8577f. Updates SUMMARY[doc] (meta/conf/documentation.conf). Changes: - rename DESCRIPTION with length < 80 to (non present tag) SUMMARY - drop final point character at the end of SUMMARY string - remove trailing whitespace of SUMMARY line Note: don't bump PR Signed-off-by: Matthieu Crapet <Matthieu.Crapet@ingenico.com> Signed-off-by: Saul Wold <sgw@linux.intel.com>
2014-01-02Replace one-line DESCRIPTION with SUMMARYPaul Eggleton
A lot of our recipes had short one-line DESCRIPTION values and no SUMMARY value set. In this case it's much better to just set SUMMARY since DESCRIPTION is defaulted from SUMMARY anyway and then the SUMMARY is at least useful. I also took the opportunity to fix up a lot of the new SUMMARY values, making them concisely explain the function of the recipe / package where possible. 2014-01-02wget: remove unrecognised optionRobert Yang

2013-09-24wget: remove po.m4 patchSaul Wold
The po.m4 file is deleted by the more recent autotools.bbclass autotools_do_configure code which handles gettext. There is therefore no point in patching the file anymore. Signed-off-by: Saul Wold <sgw@linux.intel.com> Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>

2012-09-03wget: disable iri/idn supportKang Kai
There is a build issue with wget idn support. When libidn has been populated to sysroot but rpm packages are not created, wget checks libidn support automatically and then depends on libidn. But package libidn doesn't exist, build image which includes wget will fail with: | error: Failed dependencies: | libidn.so.11 is needed by wget-1.13.4-r14.3.core2 | libidn.so.11(LIBIDN_1.0) is needed by wget-1.13.4-r14.3.core2 Disable iri/idn support to fix it.
