* linux-2.6.28: make it bootable and usefull on nokia900Denis 'GNUtoo' Carikli2010-10-271-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | *crucial boot support(mmc,mmc block devices,and filesystems) are now builtin *a CMDLINE is now set in the recipe(there is a custom nokia bootloader on the nokia900), That is also necessary to boot on microsd *g_ether is now built, which is required for usbnet *ondemand cpufreq governor is now the default *the inconsistent-mmc-fix-2.6.28-20094803.3.diff patch comes from: https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2747 and is necessary to be able to boot on microsd *there is also a patch that reports the battery capacity which comes from: http://my.arava.co.il/~matan/770/n900/bq27x00_battery.c That patch should be temporary,and be replcaed by somwthing like that: Sep 24 18:48:06 <DocScrutinizer51> the bq27200 kernel module is rather rudimentary Sep 24 18:48:09 <DocScrutinizer51> should be easy to adapt FR bq2700 module to provide same szsfs nodes and just use I2C instead of FIQ+HDQ Sep 24 18:48:11 <DocScrutinizer51> and that's exactly what I'd recommend to do (from #openmoko-cdevel on Freenode) Signed-off-by: Denis 'GNUtoo' Carikli <GNUtoo@no-log.org> Signed-off-by: Martin Jansa <Martin.Jansa@gmail.com>

* nokia900: do not require omap3.inc as we would have to override nearly ↵Denis 'GNUtoo' Carikli2010-09-121-3/+4
| | | | | | | | | everything when we required omap3.inc we pulled that: EXTRA_IMAGEDEPENDS += "u-boot x-load" which we can't and won't use for the moment. We also had to override nearly all variables.
* linux-2.6.28 : nokia900: update patchset and unbreak compilation with gcc 4.4Denis 'GNUtoo' Carikli2010-09-121-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | The gcc patch was indicated to me by felipec in #maemo on freenode <felipec> GNUtoo|laptop: http://article.gmane.org/gmane.linux.ports.arm.omap/28461 The nokia patch was updated to kernel_2.6.28-20101501+0m5.diff.gz I was also told in #openmoko-cdevelon freenode by dos11 that PR had to be bumped only in the machine config: <apt> dos11 meant: GNUtoo|laptop: only macine conf
* linux 2.6.28: fix nokia900 buildMarcin Juszkiewicz2010-02-101-0/+5
| | | | | | | | | | | | | - defconfig is based on Maemo5 one (present in sources as rx51_defconfig) - MACHINE_KERNEL_PR is set in nokia900.conf as we do not use linux-omap recipes for that device. It was discussed with OMAP3 maintainter (Koen Kooi) on IRC: 11:02 < hrw> koen: nokia900 uses omap3.inc and I need to bump kernel - are you ok with bumping M_K_PR for all omap3? 11:02 < hrw> koen: I can also move M_K_PR to nokia900.conf to separate it 11:02 < hrw> this device do not use linux-omap recipes 11:02 < hrw> at least not yet 11:06 < _koen_> hrw: either solution is fine by me, but if it isn't using linux-omap I think I prefer moving MKPR to nokia900.conf
