2011-03-07util-linux-ng: Drop lzo-native from DEPENDSTom Rini
After talking with Denys (who pushed the change before) we agree it's not needed now. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <tom_rini@mentor.com>

2011-01-04util-linux-ng: Clean up native config bits.Tom Rini
We don't need the ncurses stuff for how we use this, so disable it (and bump INC_PR). In util-linux-ng_2.17.bb the override to add some bits to the native recipe was killing all of the other parts so change the syntax so it doesn't, and set PR=INC_PR (now that INC_PR is bumped). Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <tom_rini@mentor.com>
2010-12-24changed rm into rm -f to remove old libtool stuffFrans Meulenbroeks
this keeps things working even if the files are not there (e.g. because configure is ran twice) Signed-off-by: Frans Meulenbroeks <fransmeulenbroeks@gmail.com>
2010-12-02util-linux-ng.inc, e2fsprogs.inc: Use update-alternatives for uuidd.Graham Gower
Util-linux-ng put uuidd in ${sbindir}, e2fsprogs put it in ${base_sbindir}. This change puts both in ${base_sbindir}. Fixes a conflict when DISTRO=micro. | Collected errors: | * check_data_file_clashes: Package util-linux-ng wants to install file /mnt/oe/tmp/rootfs/native-sdk-image/sbin/uuidd | But that file is already provided by package * e2fsprogs Signed-off-by: Graham Gower <graham.gower@gmail.com> Acked-by: Khem Raj <raj.khem@gmail.com>

2010-10-30util-linux-ng: Make cal, script, flock use u-a, drop D_P = -1Martin Jansa
* cal and script were added to usrbinprogs_a in af3f52db17181108a45a0484a57e84495e865393, but u-a calls weren't added to postinst/prerm * drop D_P = -1, doesn't make much sense in .inc file Signed-off-by: Martin Jansa <Martin.Jansa@gmail.com>
2010-10-09util-linux-ng: fix DEPENDSKoen Kooi
* it picks up pam from staging if it's built, so add it to DEPENDS with DISTRO_FEATURES guard * remove bogus IMAGE_FEATURE check since u-l-ng is supposed to be used in images with or without udev Recipes are not allowed to make compile decisions based on the image that's going to get built, since that breaks package management severely. More to the point: What happens when you do 'bitbake util-linux-ng' and later do 'bitbake foo-image' where foo-image sets a different IMAGE_DEV_MANAGER? Signed-off-by: Koen Kooi <koen@openembedded.org>

2010-09-26util-linux-ng: reset rdepends on ncurses-toolsEric Bénard
* reset is a script which is using tput provided by ncurses-tools (which also provides reset) so util-linux-ng's reset command fails if ncurses-tools is not installed on the target * this patch creates a utils-linux-ng-reset package with RDEPENDS="ncurses-tools" Signed-off-by: Eric Bénard <eric@eukrea.com>

2010-09-13util-linux-ng: fix reset update-alternative vs busyboxEric Bénard
* we actually get the following log : update-alternatives: Error: cannot register alternative reset to /bin/reset since it is already registered to /usr/bin/reset * the fix is to have util-linux-ng install reset in /usr/bin Signed-off-by: Eric Bénard <eric@eukrea.com>
2010-09-11util-linux-ng: fix readprofile update-alternatives vs busyboxEric Bénard
* util-linux-ng installs readprofile in /sbin, busybox installs it in /usr/sbin which tiggers the following log when configuring the package : Configuring util-linux-ng-readprofile. update-alternatives: Error: cannot register alternative readprofile to /sbin/readprofile since it is already registered to /usr/sbin/readprofile Collected errors: * pkg_run_script: postinst script returned status 1. * opkg_configure: util-linux-ng-readprofile.postinst returned 1. * the fix is to have util-linux-ng install readprofile in /usr/sbin * this patch fix http://bugs.openembedded.org/show_bug.cgi?id=5474 as suggested by Tom Rini Signed-off-by: Eric Bénard <eric@eukrea.com> Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <tom_rini@mentor.com> Tested-by: Philip Balister <philip@balister.org>

2010-06-10recipes: bump PR/INC_PR for packages changed in ↵Martin Jansa
RDEPENDS/RRECOMMENDS/RSUGGESTS/RPROVIDES/RCONFLICTS/RREPLACES cleanup * only 769 from 1102 recipes were covered by automatic PR bump, list of remaining 333 recipes not using PR/INC_PR is available for manual PR add or INC_PR conversion - volunteers? http://build.shr-project.org/tests/jama/files.not.PR.bumped * just echo 'PR = "r1"' to recipes without any PR/INC_PR is not so good idea without manual check, because sometimes they rely on PR set in their .inc file and "r1" could make it go backwards Signed-off-by: Martin Jansa <Martin.Jansa@gmail.com>
2010-06-03recipes: conform to OE packaging guidelines with RDEPENDS/RRECOMMENDSMartin Jansa
* there is probably very few cases when it's needed without _${PN}, if you find one in attached patch, please enlighten me * usually we want those only for ${PN} not for all ${PACKAGES} ie ${PN}-dev, ${PN)-doc etc * there is a check for this in recipe-sanity.bclass * there is maybe few possible fixes also in bbclasses cpan-base.bbclass:RDEPENDS += "${@["perl", ""][(bb.data.inherits_class('native', d))]}" distutils-base.bbclass:RDEPENDS += "python-core" gtk-icon-cache.bbclass:RDEPENDS += "hicolor-icon-theme" image.bbclass:RDEPENDS += "${IMAGE_INSTALL} ${IMAGE_BOOT}" module.bbclass:RDEPENDS += "kernel (${KERNEL_VERSION}) update-modules" ?opie_i18n.bbclass: rdepends = bb.data.getVar("RDEPENDS", d, 1) ?opie_i18n.bbclass: bb.data.setVar('RDEPENDS_%s' % x[0].lower(), pn, d) ?opie_i18n.bbclass: bb.data.setVar('RDEPENDS', rdepends, d) rubyextension.bbclass:RDEPENDS += "ruby" Signed-off-by: Martin Jansa <Martin.Jansa@gmail.com> Acked-by: Koen Kooi <k-kooi@ti.com>

2010-04-12util-linux-ng-blkid: proper busybox blkid replacementSergey Lapin
/sbin/blkid is provided by both bisybox and util-linux-ng-blkid package, but at different paths. Busybox version does not accept any options (ignores), which partially leads to attempted access to /dev/mtdblock0 on OMAP architecture, which by itself leads to excess error messages from mtd layer due to different ECC methods (OMAP processor requirement for booting). If using util-linux-ng-blkid, plus a small patch to udev rules (http://markmail.org/message/454coplvll4vf3jf) this issue can be fixed.
2010-04-06util-linux-ng: ensure that LDFLAGS are clean on native buildRoman I Khimov

2010-03-09util-linux-ng: provide libblkid/libuuid/fsck/blkid instead of e2fsprogsMarcin Juszkiewicz
This commit is next step after e2fsprogs lost libblkid, libuuid, fsck, blkid packages. Most applications/libraries now require u-l-ng versions of uuid/blkid libraries. Also I followed Debian in moving to u-l-ng components instead of e2fsprogs ones (fsck, blkid). Recipe got cleaned up and unified. Util-linux-ng 2.17 requires fallocate64 which is glibc 2.11+ so I disabled that functionality for now. Signed-off-by: Marcin Juszkiewicz <marcin@juszkiewicz.com.pl>
