2019-07-26iproute2: drop pointless configure-cross.patchRasmus Villemoes
The configure script has already found IPT_LIB_DIR via pkgconfig, so the configure-cross.patch really just introduces dead and broken fallback code. Broken, because the SYSROOT variable does not actually get set to a sensible value - the argument $1 passed to the configure script when invoked from the Makefile is KERNEL_INCLUDE, which we set to ${STAGING_INCDIR} in EXTRA_OEMAKE. Obviously that directory does not have /lib or /usr subdirectories, so we're not really helping the fallback logic in check_ipt_lib_dir() - in fact, we're more or less guaranteeing that we won't find those .so files. [-Wimplicit-function-declaration] ether_ntoa_r((const struct ether_addr *)id->addr, eaddr); ^~~~~~~~~~~~ In the meantime upstream has already implemented a different workaround for musl, so this patch can just be dropped. The patch tool will apply patches by default with "fuzz", which is where if the hunk context isn't present but what is there is close enough, it will force the patch in. Whilst this is useful when there's just whitespace changes, when applied to source it is possible for a patch applied with fuzz to produce broken code which still compiles (see #10450). This is obviously bad. We'd like to eventually have do_patch() rejecting any fuzz on these grounds. For that to be realistic the existing patches with fuzz need to be rebased and reviewed. If we build a minimal image with iproute2 installed, the following error will appear during rootfs. error: Can't install iproute2-3.10.0-r0.0@i586: no package provides /bin/bash The problem is that iproute2 has an implicit dependency on 'bash'. This dependency is from per-file dependency checking. Patch two scripts, ifcfg and rtpr, from iproute2 to remove the bash specific syntax.
