2016-06-15directfb: fix client->gfx_state initialisationAndre McCurdy
Shortly before the DirectFB 1.7.7 release, an optimisation was added to CoreGraphicsStateClient_Init() to avoid creating an extended Graphics State object if it will not later be required: 4d422fb Client: Create extended Graphics State object when needed for later usage Unfortunately the client->gfx_state variable used to track the extended Graphics State object is not initialised, which can lead to crashes etc due to creation of the Graphics State object erroneously being skipped. 2016-02-02directfb: use Yocto source mirrors for SRC_URIRoss Burton
directfb.org has been offline for several months now, and the "official" DirectFB repositories on GitHub haven't been touched since October and don't contain the 1.7.x branch or tags. So that everyone (specifically people who don't have the Yocto Project source mirrors configured) can download DirectFB, point the SRC_URI at the Yocto Project source mirror directly. (From OE-Core rev: 118bdc0db8e97d0b4f094e8ede9ea490604fdc97) Signed-off-by: Ross Burton <ross.burton@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>

2015-12-22directfb.inc: enable bfd linker workaround for all arm targetsAndre McCurdy
Although the gold linker problems with DirectFB have only so far been observed with armv7a, they could potentially affect future arm targets too. Since there's no particular downside to using the bfd linker for DirectFB, apply the workaround to all arm targets. Signed-off-by: Andre McCurdy <armccurdy@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>

2015-05-03directfb: Improve CFLAGS handling for x86Richard Purdie
The problem with filter_out is that it expands the variable meaning overrides to sub components can get lost. This has happening to the security flags meaning directfb failed in lsb builds. Use _remove instead of filter_out since it gives much more predictable results. Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>

2014-06-16binconfig-disabled: Add class and useRichard Purdie
This adds a binconfig-disabled class which can be used by recipes where a -config file is installed but we wish to disable it and just rely on the .pc files instead. Rather than simply deleting it, we make the script "exit 1" so that it can be found in PATH and raise a build error rather than something silently falling back to the build system for example. Rather than randomly finding -config files, this adds in the specification of a list of binconfig scripts which is more deterministic and maintainable moving forward. This patch converts various users in OE-Core to use this, a world build of OE-Core tests out ok with this change. There will likely be issues in other layers however, hence this being a RFT. 2013-07-22directfb: don't patch pkg-config filesAndré Draszik
We are currently getting build failures of projects that rely on being able to access DirectFB's internal include directories, as returned via pkg-config, since the include paths returned by pkg-config are incomplete. The reason for that is the patch that is being removed with this change. It modified the cflags returned by pkg-config in an incorrect way, causing us to miss important include paths: For reference, pkg-config output with incorrect patch applied: ad@bril0118 #513 ~> pkg-config --cflags directfb-internal -D_GNU_SOURCE -D_REENTRANT -I<builddir>/tmp/sysroots/<machine>/usr/include/directfb -I<builddir>/tmp/sysroots/<machine>/usr/include Now, with the incorrect patch removed, the output is as expected: ad@bril0118 #514 ~> pkg-config --cflags directfb-internal -D_GNU_SOURCE -D_REENTRANT -I<builddir>/tmp/sysroots/<machine>/usr/include/directfb-internal -I<builddir>/tmp/sysroots/<machine>/usr/include/directfb Overall, the removed patch is not needed - pkg-config does the right thing these days and we can simply use the correctly working upstream versions of all DirectFB .pc files. 2013-06-17directfb:filter out -fno-omit-frame-pointer option on x86 archRoy.Li
directfb need -fomit-frame-pointer option of gcc to build some inline asm code about mmx. But once -fno-omit-frame-pointer was added into TARGET_CFLAGS. That will cause directfb build error on x86 arch. Signed-off-by: Roy.Li <rongqing.li@windriver.com> Signed-off-by: Saul Wold <sgw@linux.intel.com>

2012-07-19Remove a number of unneeded import os/bb callsRichard Purdie

2011-02-03recipes-graphics: Add more detailed SUMMARY and DESCRIPTIONSMark Hatle
Add more detailed SUMMARY and DESCRIPTIONS to various graphics and graphics related components. I've recently gotten question from users what something is, or why it was needed.. this should go a long way toward answering those questions. Many of the descriptions were taken directly from the upstream location, where one was not available the Debian packages were consulted for information.
