2023-09-22recipes: Drop remaining PR values from recipesRichard Purdie
We've been removing PR values from recipes at upgrade time for a while. In general anyone maintaining a binary distro would end up having to curate these themselves so the values in OE-Core aren't really that useful anymore. In many ways it makes sense to clear out the remaining ones (which are mostly for 'config' recipes that are unlikely to increase in PV) and leave a clean slate for anyone implementing a binary distro config. References are left in meta-selftest since the tests there do involve them and their removal upon upgrade. Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
2023-08-24recipes/classes/scripts: Drop SRCPV usage in OE-CoreRichard Purdie
Now that SRCPV isn't needed we can simplify things in a few places... Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
2022-02-20meta/meta-selftest/meta-skeleton: Update LICENSE variable to use SPDX ↵Richard Purdie
license identifiers An automated conversion using scripts/contrib/convert-spdx-licenses.py to convert to use the standard SPDX license identifiers. Two recipes in meta-selftest were not converted as they're that way specifically for testing. A change in linux-firmware was also skipped and may need a more manual tweak. 2021-11-03recipes: Update github.com urls to use httpsRichard Purdie
Github has announced there will be no more git:// fetching from their servers: https://github.blog/2021-09-01-improving-git-protocol-security-github/#no-more-unauthenticated-git and they're about to start having brownout periods to encourage people to update. This runs the conversion script over OE-Core to update our urls to use https instead of git. Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
2021-07-30Convert to new override syntaxRichard Purdie
This is the result of automated script conversion: scripts/contrib/convert-overrides.py <oe-core directory> converting the metadata to use ":" as the override character instead of "_". Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>

2020-09-17xinput-calibrator: change SRC_URI to branch with libinput supportSteve Sakoman
Since "conf: Use xf86-input-libinput by default" [1] there are reports [2] of xinput-calibrator failing because it expects xf86-input-evdev and with the above patch xf86-input-libinput takes precedence. Fix this issue by using a branch of xinput calibrator which supports xf86-input-libinput. 2019-11-21distro_features_check: expand with MACHINE_FEATURES and COMBINED_FEATURES, ↵Denys Dmytriyenko
rename Besides checking DISTRO_FEATURES for required or conflicting features, being able to check MACHINE_FEATURES and/or COMBINED_FEATURES may also be useful at times. Temporarily support the old class name with a warning about future deprecation. Signed-off-by: Denys Dmytriyenko <denys@ti.com> Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>

2016-11-30xinput-calibrator: use up-to-date git versionDiego Rondini
Use up-to-date version from git. While currently there aren't official releases newer than 0.7.5, quite some new features have been added in git, for example the ability to disable the calibration screen timeout. Additionally depend on libxrandr, so that xinput_calibrator can use the library directly to obtain the geometry, instead of parsing the output of the xrandr binary (parsing of the output can easily break, for example when the output name is made up of two words instead of one). 2016-08-25pointercal-xinput: add a dummy calibration file for qemuMaxin B. John
In qemu, the emulated PS/2 mouse reports itself as an "absolute coordinate" device and that makes xinput_calibrator think it could be calibrated. Add a dummy calibration file as a work around to prevent xinput_calibrator from popping up on every boot in qemu. [YOCTO #8380] Signed-off-by: Maxin B. 2016-06-14xinput-calibrator: add missing dependency for xinput_calibrator_once.shUrs Fässler
xinput_calibrator_once.sh uses xrandr to read the resolution but is not in the dependency list. Busybox is unable to parse the corresponding line, hence depending on bash. Signed-off-by: Urs Fässler <urs.fassler@bbv.ch> Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
2015-12-27xinput-calibrator: get screen geometry when calibratingJonathan David
Calibration acquires a default resolution of 1280x1024 when running xinput_calibrator_pointercal.sh, obtain correct screen resolution by using xrandr to grab user-specified geometry and pass to script Signed-off-by: Jonathan David <jonathan.david@ni.com> Signed-off-by: Ross Burton <ross.burton@intel.com>

2014-02-28autotools-brokensep: Mark recipes with broken separate build dir supportRichard Purdie
This patch goes through the OE-Core recipes and marks those which use autotools but don't support a separate build directory (${S} != ${B}). A new class, autotools-brokensep is used for this purpose. This doesn't introduce any change in behaviour in its own right. Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
2014-01-02Replace one-line DESCRIPTION with SUMMARYPaul Eggleton
A lot of our recipes had short one-line DESCRIPTION values and no SUMMARY value set. In this case it's much better to just set SUMMARY since DESCRIPTION is defaulted from SUMMARY anyway and then the SUMMARY is at least useful. I also took the opportunity to fix up a lot of the new SUMMARY values, making them concisely explain the function of the recipe / package where possible. 2013-07-25xinput-calibrator: move it from meta-oe to oe-coreLaurentiu Palcu
People using xserver-xorg that need to calibrate their touchscreen devices would also need meta-oe. Bringing the recipes to oe-core will make it easier for them. Aditionaly: * drop xterm RDEPENDS. Terminal is not needed to run the menu item; * change xinput_calibrator_pointercal.sh so that it can be run as normal user: pointercal.xinput is saved to ~/.pointercal/ and it will be used when the system boots; * have the calibration run through an Xsession file; * remove the systemd service since calibration is run by Xsession; * do not install pointercal.xinput if it's the default one; [YOCTO #4416] Signed-off-by: Laurentiu Palcu <laurentiu.palcu@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Saul Wold <sgw@linux.intel.com>
